After Beyonce’s monumental album drop Friday, and Erykah Badu giving Facetime for Givenchy, Princess Riri of the Fenty clan has been named the newest face of French couture brand Balmain, and Alyssa is here.for.it.
I swear Rihanna knows how to work the camera like the rent is due. Good Lord.
The promotions were shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin under the creative vision of Atelier Franck Duran and styled by one Mr. Mel Ottenberg.
I suppose we should’ve known this was coming considering how chummy Rihanna has become with Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing over the last few months.
Rousteing has been overcome with adulation for the singing superstar for some time now:
“When the woman that inspires you wears your creations, your vision feels complete.”
He even took to Instagram to continue his praise of the lady in couture:
